Astute Training — New Website for Penrith-Based RTO

New Custom WordPress Website

The Client

Astute Training is a Registered Training Organisation based in Penrith, offering Business and Community Health courses to both domestic and international students. Despite their solid course offering, their online presence was actively working against them — deterring potential students before they had a chance to experience the quality of Astute's training.

The Challenge

A thorough review of Astute Training's existing website identified five clear problems holding the business back:

• Not mobile-friendly — the majority of education website visitors use mobile devices, and the site was not delivering a good experience on them

• Home page led with "About Us" — leading with the college's story rather than answering the student's first question: "What can you do for me?"

• No SSL security — browsers were flagging the site as "not secure," damaging trust and negatively impacting Google rankings

• No calls-to-action — the site had no mechanism to capture leads or build a contact database for future marketing

• Outdated content — stale and broken information was reducing time on site and eroding visitor trust

The Objectives

Full Steam was engaged to deliver a purpose-built new website that would:

• Attract and engage prospective students from the first page load

• Meet ASQA compliance requirements with an ongoing ongoing website-content support for review-driven updates under the client’s support arrangement

• Be built to grow — scalable, stable, and manageable by the Astute team

• Capture leads through strategic calls-to-action and CRM integration

• Be secured and hosted in Australia for speed and trust

The Solution

New Conversion-Focused Website

A fully custom WordPress website was built with a student-first homepage that immediately communicated Astute Training's value proposition — what they offer, who they help, and why they're the right choice. A mega-menu was implemented to provide clear, intuitive navigation across Business and Community Health course streams.

Lead Generation Built In

Strong calls-to-action were embedded throughout the site, including a HubSpot CRM integration to capture visitor email addresses in exchange for course guides and other resources — enabling Astute to build a database of warm leads for ongoing nurturing.

Course Structure

The site was structured to serve both individual students and businesses exploring training, with dedicated pages for:

• Home — student-focused value proposition, blog feed, testimonials, and CTAs

• Courses — individual course pages (×8) plus faculty/course category pages (×2)

• About Us — staff, lecturers, and college story

• Resources — FAQs, Student Information, payment options, terms, and ASQA documents

• Blog — populated with existing content, ready for ongoing publishing

• Contact — location details, map, and enquiry form

An online application form for international students was also built as part of the project.

Timeline

Delivered in 6–10 weeks across four stages: Design Interview, Design Presentation, Website Build, and Launch.
